I couldn't resist some photographs, and a few fun facts about these amazing flowers.

If you love flowers, Le Marche is a great place to see them, April/May in the mountain meadows, May/June for fields of Poppies, many farms here don't use weedkiller and poppies can be found growing in cornfields. The famous flowering of the fields of Castelluccio are early July and then the Sunflowers come up July and August.
The botanical name for sunflower is helianthus annuus.
